Photojojo has an interesting article on how to create your own photo time capsule by simply using a disposable camera. The basic idea is to carry a cheap disposable camera with you everywhere you go, and take pictures of friends, locations, etc. When it is filled-up, toss it in a drawer somewhere and let it sit until you discover it some years later. The cool side to this is that letting film sit like this has some interesting side effects to how the film will look some odd years later.

Interestingly enough I’ve already started doing this. During the summer I thought it would be a cool idea to buy a cheap disposable camera with the highest ISO that I could find, take a bunch of pictures with it, and let it sit in some of the worst possible conditions. Just what are those conditions you ask? My car. The temperature has varied from well below freezing to nice and toasty since the summer. Maybe I’ll get the film developed sometime soon and see what I get.
